Belle
Belle is an English Cream Golden Retriever. She is 4 years 10 months old. She works every day in a public school as a therapy dog. She intervenes with children who may be in crisis. She has her CGC through AKC and has additional skills such as crisis intervention, deep compression, and a variety of tricks to help children who need a “break” in school. She loves to listen to them read or take her for a walk.
When she is at home, her favorite past time is swimming. She loves to swim laps in the pool or pond. She is extremely stoic and gentle. She has visited many settings including nursing homes, residential facilities, doctors’ offices, police stations and many other places. She is loved in her community by so many.
Chip
Chip is also a registered ECGR. He is almost old enough to test for CGC — soon. He works each day in a middle school setting for children with special needs. He fits in perfectly as he is kind of a silly boy, too. The students have developed a deep bond with Chip and he serves to attend to their emotional and mental health needs. He is loved by so many, including the staff who come to see him daily, too. Chip is two years old and has matured so much in the last year. He is our “gentle giant”. He’s not really that big, but his presence is huge.
When Chip is at home, he also enjoys swimming in the pool and pond. He loves to take long runs and run around with our new addition, Rosie. They play together each evening. Chip loves to train and please others. He is the bright spot to everyone’s day.
